Have you ever said to yourself, “AHHHHHHHHHH there are so many great books out there I want to read and I don’t have time to get to most of them but I’m tired of being dumb”? Yup. So have we. There are so many great thinkers and great books out there, but like you we only have so many hours in the day. And so welcome to our new feature to help us address this problem, “Author Spotlight.”

As often as we are able we will feature a book that gives a fresh perspective on the Bible and Christian faith. And the best part is you’ll be hearing directly from the author’s themselves!!—in a 10 minute (or less) audio clip, they’ll tell us what the book is about, why it matters to them, and what they want their readers to get out of it.

Today’s author is Melissa Florer-Bixler and the book is Fire by Night: Finding God in the Pages of the Old Testament. You can find her on Twitter: @MelissaFloBix and Instagram: @melissa.florerbixler.
