The Bible has been used to say a lot of things about sex and gender. Most of them require ignoring a lot of context. This bundle takes an honest look at what Scripture actually says and how we've been reading it.
You'll start by taking apart the idea that the Bible is a sex manual and asking what it actually is instead. Then you'll dig into biblical marriage: what it looked like across the Old and New Testaments, which is considerably messier than the tidy one-sentence summary most people were handed. You'll spend time with sin: what the concept actually means in its biblical context, how it's been distorted, and what a more honest framework might look like. And you'll look at how women are portrayed across Scripture, from the texts themselves to the centuries of interpretation piled on top of them.
