It's time to come clean. As ministers, we have severely limited the way we explain the death of Jesus.
The New Testament offers loads of images and metaphors to describe the significance of this climactic and surprising event, yet we usually revert to one approach ... and it might not even be a good or healthy one!
So with every head bowed and every eye closed, would you agree we need to move beyond Penal Substitutionary Atonement?
We see that hand.
In response, we are inviting you to join P4NP as we explore Preaching Salvation beyond PSA. This course is for any minister who wants to expand their language concerning the death of Jesus. Through a mixture of lectures and Q&A, we will talk about salvation in meaningful ways, through the lenses of sacrifice, victory, love, and freedom.
What better time than now to commit to thinking through the way we talk about Jesus's life, death, and resurrection?
